GPA Recalculations Policy

The following policy was approved by the COEHD Teacher Education Committee

• All GPAs will be calculated the same way throughout the program -
• Core GPA, Cumulative GPA and UTSA GPA for the purpose of admission
• to the teacher certification program and for eligibility for student teaching.

• Students may re-take any course(s) once in which they have previously earned
• a low grade. The course MUST be retaken at UTSA. The second grade would
• be replace the first grade in the GPA in the recalculation. Students may retake
• a course only ONCE. After that point, no grade substitutions will be made.
