MAY MINI-MESTER

Attending the May Mini-mester?  Remember, you cannot register for more than one course during the May Mini-mester.  Students who have enrolled in more than one course without an approved petition will be dropped from the last course they registered.  And the last day to add a course or register late for a May mini-mester course is May 12 (the first day of class for the May mini-mester).

SATURDAY APPOINTMENTS

Beginning in June, the COEHD Advising Center will offer students the opportunity to meet with their advisors during Saturday appointments - we will no longer have open walk-ins on Saturdays.  Students may make Saturday appointments for the following month, so students may now make appointments for June 7; in June, students may make appointments for July 12; and in July, students may make appointments for the August Saturday sessions.

Students may visit our center’s advisors during a walk-in session, which are normally held on Wednesdays.  (Special events and holiday closures may affect the walk-in schedule, so students are encouraged to visit our website to obtain the most current information).  Morning sessions are held from 9 am to 11 am, and afternoon sessions are scheduled for 2 pm to 4 pm.  The sign-up sheets for the walk-ins are released at 8 am when the center opens and walk-ins will be accepted until capacity has been reached.  Walk-in sessions are not for newly-admitted transfer students – they should set up an appointment instead.  Each walk-in should be considered as a 30-minute session - if you need more than 30 minutes with an advisor, then an appointment should be scheduled.

Appointments are scheduled at different times throughout the week. You should schedule an appointment if you meet one of the following criteria:

A. This is your first visit to the office
B. You have numerous and/or in-depth questions for an advisor
C. You need extensive paperwork completed
D. You are a newly-accepted transfer student

To schedule an appointment, please call us at 210-458-4424. You may contact us via e-mail at COEHDADVISING@UTSA.EDU with any questions or concerns you would like addressed that may not necessarily require an appointment. Please provide us with your name, Banner ID, and a valid phone number to call you back at in case we have questions.
