College of Education and Human Development Scholarship Program The College of Education and Human Development offers the following scholarships to COEHD majors and/or students seeking teacher certification. The number and amount of the awards will be determined pending the availability of scholarship funding. Application forms: Can be found by clicking on the name of each scholarship listed below. The Dianna Lynn Tidwell Endowed Scholarship	Undergraduates seeking special education certification
Scholarships for the Spring 2009 Semester Application Deadline: October 6, 2008
The Academy for Teacher Excellence Scholarship	Must be student teaching in the spring 2009.
The Onderdonk Family Memorial Scholarship	Must be student teaching in the spring 2009.
Fall 2008 Physical Education Student Teachers Application Deadline: November 7, 2008
The Kinesiology Scholarship	Open to fall 2008 physical education student teachers.
Scholarships for the 2009-2010 Academic Year Application Deadline: March 2, 2009
The COEHD Presidential Scholarship	Must be a COEHD major. Minimum GPA of 3.3
The USAA Foundation Scholarship (COEHD)	COEHD majors <OR> must be accepted into the Teacher Certification Program
The Harold T. and H. Joyce Cook Scholarship	Undergraduates seeking elementary EC-4th or 4-8th certification
The Dianna Lynn Tidwell Endowed Scholarship	Undergraduates seeking special education certification
The Endowed Pythagoras Scholarship for Math Teachers	Undergraduates seeking high school math certification
The Albar Pena Memorial Scholarship	U/G or masters-level students seeking bilingual teaching certificate; Member of BESO
The Guadalupe Haber Scholarship (BESO)	Undergraduates seeking bilingual teaching certificate – Must be a member of BESO
The Rodolfo Jacobson Scholarship (BESO)	Undergraduates seeking bilingual teaching certificate – Must be a member of BESO
The Riojas Famiy Memorial Scholarship (BESO)	Undergraduates seeking bilingual teaching certificate – Must be a member of BESO
The Dewey Davis, Ph.D., First Professor at UTSA, Endowed Scholarship	Undergraduates seeking secondary science certification in the fall of 2009
The Academy for Teacher Excellence Scholarship	Must be student teaching in the fall 2009.
The Onderdonk Family Memorial Scholarship	Must be student teaching in the fall 2010.
The Belinda Villarreal-Nelson Memorial Scholarship	Undergraduates seeking teacher certification in English, mathematics, science, bilingual education or special education.
Dr. Arcadia Lopez Endowed Scholarship	Undergraduates seeking bilingual teacher certification.
The Jodie W. McCarley Scholarship for Future Coaches of Female Athletes	Kinesiology majors seeking physical education teacher certification. Must intend to become a coach of women's athletics.
